With over 30 years of experience in film and television industry, Robert has a wide range of production skills from running the day-to-day operations of television series to shooting and editing. He is also versed in dealing with international distribution, new product development and conducting network business affairs.
Robert has worked on a variety of shows seen around the world, most recently executive producing Season 5 of ‘World’s Wildest Police Videos’, one of the first international reality shows.
Robert also was part of the US producing team of the French TR1 adventure series ‘USHUAIA’ on NBC/CNBC. He has also been a producer on ‘I Witness Video’ for NBC, ‘American Detective’ for ABC, ‘Cops’ for FOX and Discovery Channel’s ‘World of Wonder’ and ‘Hollywood’s Greatest Stunts’.
Ballantyne began his career as a news photographer/video journalist where he won several local NPPA awards. He left a successful news career to become a film and video production facility manager, overseeing the production of many industrial films and commercials for clients such as Nike, Portland General Electric, and First Interstate Bank.
He also headed up the production team that produced infomercials for national clients such as Cable Kitchen and executive produced the live TV coverage of the Portland Rose Parade.
In addition, Bob has been guest lecturer at Loyola Marymount School of Film and Television teaching studio production. Robert graduated from the London Film School and attended San Jose State University.

When you travel, you can ‘see’ a place or ‘experience’ a place. I choose to experience it. I try to pick fewer places, but stay longer to get a feel for the country, food, customs and everyday life.
